Major Downer Projects include:

  • City Rail Link in Auckland
  • Transmission Gully in Wellington
  • Milford Road in Fiordland
  • Cameron Road in Tauranga


About the role:


As a core member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring Downer’s project staff have the knowledge and competency to effectively apply quality control processes and appropriately record all required data. You will: 

  • Lead the implementation of quality management processes, procedures, and systems, including the Construction Pack Planning process;
  • Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the deployment of quality systems and certification processes
  • Review and facilitate quality control set up, together with leading training sessions;
  • Coordinate and complete regular quality assurance reviews and audits on projects; and
  • Provide quarterly updates on the costs and trends associated with NCRs for all projects >$5m.
  • Managing or leading Quality Advisors / Quality Engineers


About you:


You’ll bring with you a tertiary engineering qualification We’d also value:

  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and industry norms
  • Knowledge of HS&E legislation and workplace requirements.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations for the construction industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both manually & digitally
