Civil Construction Supervisors

Civil Construction Supervisors, there has never been a better time than now to move to New Zealand, with the occupation being selected by the New Zealand Government to be eligible for the straightforward ‘Straight to Residency’ pathway on tier 1 of the Green list

Day – to - day responsibilities may include:

  • Understanding the project brief, initiate and mobilise the resources necessary for successful project delivery.
  • Assist in developing, and implementation of the site-specific safety plan, ensuring the correct allocation of responsibilities.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate all labour contractors and suppliers in order to meet the project timeline, quality and budget criteria
  • Work alongside and assist Site Managers / Project Managers to plan the work programme, resolve any identified problems and implement improvements.
  • Completing records for site reports, including health and safety, adherence to project specifications and review documentation
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, and consistency with company processes and procedures

Ideally, your experience will include:

  • Must have at least one year of experience working as a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman, or similar role
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret construction plans and drawings
  • Must have technical management skills to establish project requirements
  • Relevant qualification preferred (however, many years of similar work experience, qualification wont be needed)
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
