Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Continue enhancing SaaS-based platforms runs on a containerized Java stack expanding the capabilities to meet the needs of our customers.  
  • Leverage modern web technologies such as Scala, Java, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript to develop cutting-edge solutions.
  • Working with contemporary platform technologies like Kubernetes, MongoDB, Datadog, and Docker; actively participating in sprint planning sessions, implementing new features and functionalities within the platform, and providing valuable guidance to junior team members.
  • Collaboration across engineering teams and the promotion of best practices
  • Routine system maintenance, including resolving software deficiencies, will also be part of your duties.

Ideally, your experience to date will include:

  • 4+ years of experience developing in a Scala or Java full stack environment.  
  • 4+ years of experience with front-end development using JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React)  
  • 4+ years of experience writing scalable multi-threaded Web applications and Services.  
  • 4+ years of experience working with DevOps automation tools (e.g. Gitlab, Spinnaker, Helm, Puppet)  
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or related fields   

Bonus if:  

  • Experience working in a cloud-based deployment environment  
  • Agile and Scrum experience  
  • Experience with geospatial technologies  
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
